President of the US Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin can meet during the visit of the American president to Europe next month as The Times reported.
"It is unclear whether this meeting will take place before or after NATO summit and Trump's visit to the UK. Obviously, it would be preferable for us if it takes place after," senior source in the British government claimed.
It is noted that such perspective of the meeting strengthens concerns of London about the interest of Trump in the NATO. Moreover, right after the summit, on July 13, it is planned that American president will visit the UK.
"The most possible place of the meeting is Vienna as the OSCE Headquarters is situated there and Russia, the US are members of this organization," the message said.
Earlier it was reported Trump said that if Russian President Vladimir Putin were present in the G7, they could discuss the situation in Syria and Ukraine.
Earlier U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May said that Russia would not be invited to return to the G7 countries until it stops interfering in the affairs of other countries.
