U.S. President Donald Trump promised to end the trade war with China on January 15, 2020. This was announced by the American leader on his Twitter.
"I will be signing our very large and comprehensive Phase One Trade Deal with China on January 15. The ceremony will take place at the White House. High level representatives of China will be present. At a later date I will be going to Beijing where talks will begin on Phase Two!," the statement reads.

This first part of the deal is an important step toward ending the customs tariff war between the United States and China.

Donald Trump has repeatedly raised customs tariffs on Chinese products. China has taken steps to aggravate the "trade war" between the two largest economies in the world.
Earlier Donald Trump stated he wants Ukraine and China to investigate case of Joe Biden and his son.

“I would recommend them to start an investigation of Biden,” Trump said in response to a question about what he wanted Zelensky to do.

Trump added that he believes that China should initiate an investigation into Biden’s case, citing unproven allegations that he and his lawyer have made regarding Hunter Biden’s business relationship in China.

"And, by the way, in a similar way, China should begin an investigation of Biden. Because what happened in China is as bad as things happened in Ukraine," he said.
