The headquarters of the United States President-elect Donald Trump issued a decree for the immediate dismissal of all US ambassadors which are political appointees of President Barack Obama. It was reported by The New York Times, citing sources in diplomatic circles.
According to the publication, the ambassadors must resign before 20 January, the day of Trump’s inauguration.
Thus, Obama’s ambassadors will lose their positions in Germany, Canada, the United Kingdom, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Belgium, at Geneva UN structures, as well as, perhaps, the US ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch.
Earlier Trump headquarters named the first steps of Donald Trump as a president.
