U.S. President Donald Trump

Jason Miller, an adviser to former U.S. President Donald Trump, stated that Trump did not intend to create a new political party. This was reported by CNN.

"Trump has made clear his goal is to win back the House and Senate for Republicans in 2022. There is nothing that is actively being planned regarding an effort outside of that," Miller said.

He also reported that Trump had been talking about creating a third party for decades.

As we reported earlier, the leaders of the U.S. Senate agreed to push back Trump’s impeachment trial by two weeks.

“During that period, the Senate will continue to do other business for the American people, such as Cabinet nominations and the Covid relief bill which would provide relief for millions of Americans who are suffering during this pandemic,” said Chuck Schumer, Senate Majority Leader.

On January 13, Trump became the first U.S. president to be impeached twice. If the trial does not go in Trump's favor, he will not be able to seek the presidency again in 2024.
