The President-elect Donald Trump had a meeting with “Putin’s vociferous opponent” and a big friend of Ukraine James Mattis, who is considered a contender to lead the Pentagon. This was reported by the ABC News.
James Mattis was one of a series of people who met with Trump Saturday at his golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey. Trump wouldn't say if he was offering Mattis a job, saying "we'll see." But he called Mattis a "brilliant wonderful man" and said "what a career." The billionaire was also scheduled to meet meet with Mitt Romney, Betsy DeVos, Michel Rey, Todd Ricketts and Andrew Puzder among others.
A retired Marine General James Mattis may take the post of Secretary of Defense in the administration of US president-elect. He has two nicknames, "Mad Dog" and "Warrior monk". He mercilessly criticized President of the USA Barack Obama for alleged lack of military support to allies.
