The White House National Security Council (NSC) has presented Donald Trump with the possible variants to counter nuclear threat from North Korea.

This was reported by NBC TV channel referring to several sources in American intelligence and Pentagon.

The recommendations were prepared before the visit of Chinese leader Xi Jinping. White House hopes that China will manage to use its influence and persuade Pyongyang to give up its nuclear program, however it is does not happen, Washington will have to consider other options.

The first option under consideration is placing American nuclear bombs on military base in South Korea. Second option provides for the killing of Kim Jong-un and other high officials of DPRK, who are controlling the nuclear course of the country.

Another variant is covert action on DPRK’s territory through sending US and South Korea special forces into North Korea to sabotage or take out key infrastructure.
