The State Department of State refused to stop Green Card Lottery

President of the US Donald Trump decided to initiate the cancellation of the Green Card Lottery as he reported at Twitter.

'The terrorist came into our country through what is called the 'Diversity Visa Lottery Program', a Chuck Schumer beauty. We are fighting hard for Merit Based immigration, no more Democrat Lottery Systems. We must get MUCH tougher (and smarter)', he wrote.

Trump claimed that he will demand from the Congress to begin the work on the cancellation of the 'Diversity Visa' for the residence permit after the meeting in the White House as CNN reported.

'Today I begin the process of the stop of the 'Diversity Lottery Program', he said.

'I am going to ask the Congress to immediately initiate the work that aims to cancel this program. Sounds nice, it is not nice, it is not good. It hasn't been good and we have been against it', Trump emphasized.

However, the American authorities claimed that they have no intentions to change the program despite the criticism of Trump. The official representative of the State Department of State reported this to TASS.

'At the moment there are no changes in the ''Diversity Visa Lottery Program' that is established by the law', she said.

The statement of Trump was made after the information that the suspected in the terrorist attack in Manhattan came to the US through the Green Card Lottery offered by Senator from the Democratic Party Chuck Schumer.

The Manhattan attack on October 31, claimed lives of eight people; six died on the scene, two passed away later at a hospital. Another eleven people sustained injuries of various degrees of severity.

29-year-old Sayfullo Saipov of Uzbek origin used a rented truck to hit the crowd near the World Trade Centre on Tuesday. As he ran over a group of bicyclists and crashed into another vehicle, he got out of the car and started shooting, using an air-driven rifle and a paintball gun. Saipov got himself shot by the police and taken to a hospital where he successfully passed the surgery. Later Saipov claimed that he committed the attack in the name of the Islamic State.
