US President Donald Trump called Russian President Vladimir Putin on the phone to express condolences in connection with the terrorist attack in Saint Petersburg.

This was reported by TASS agency with reference to the press secretary of Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.  

Both Presidents agreed that terrorism must be combated in cooperation, according to him.

“In his conversation over the phone with Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump expressed deep condolences to the relatives of victims of the barbaric act of terrorism committed in the St. Petersburg’s subway. He asked to convey words of support to the Russian people,” Peskov said.

“Trump and Putin agreed to support contacts,” Peskov added.

“Donald Trump pledges 'full support' to Putin over Russia metro attack,” the AFP agency reported in Twitter.

Earlier it was reported that on April 3, at about 15:00 an explosion occurred in metro of St. Petersburg. According to official data, the terrorist attack took lives of eleven people were. "Meduza" interviewed the witnesses, who at the moment of the explosion were in the blown train and in the train that was driving in the opposite direction.
