Trump endorses U.S. defense budget, which implies allocation of $250 million to Ukraine

American President Donald Trump endorsed the draft budget of the Ministry of Defense for 2019, which implies the increased assistance of Ukraine up to $250 million. The Embassy of Ukraine in the USA reported this on Facebook 

Thus, the document entered into force.

‘The levels of assistance to our country in areas of security and defense through the Pentagon increased by $ 50 million compared with the budget for 2018,’ Ukrainian diplomats claimed. 

The Embassy stressed that they highly appreciate the increasing support of Ukraine by the key strategic partner against Russian aggression.

As it was reported earlier, the U.S. Senate’s House of Representatives supported allocating $250 million to Ukraine for the security and defense. The document includes major fundamental provisions of the bill on "Cooperation with Ukraine in the cyber-security sphere", which in particular provides for strengthening defensibility against cyber-attacks, securing governmental computer networks, reducing dependencies on Russian informational and communicational technologies, aiding in participation in information exchange programs.
