The U.S. President Donald Trump, postponed the decision to impose tariffs on metal and aluminium import to Canada, the European Union and Mexico, as Reuters reported.
“The administration is also extending negotiations with Canada, Mexico, and the European Union for a final 30 days. In all of these negotiations, the administration is focused on quotas that will restrain imports, prevent transshipment, and protect the national security,” the message says.
Trump signed the order on the imposition of tariffs on the import of steel and aluminium industry. Besides, he promised to consider the question of the exemption from duties of several states, such as Australia, Canada and Mexico.
