Three proposals for the provision of defensive weapons to Ukraine can be submitted to the US President Donald Trump for consideration. This is reported by ABC News, referring to the words of representative of the State Department.
According to the source of the publication, Trump's adviser on national security received three options for giving Ukraine a $ 47 million grant for the purchase of defensive weapons to deter Russian aggression.
"President Donald Trump may be offered a $ 47 million grant approval option to allow the Ukrainian government to purchase American defensive weapons to deter aggression of pro-Russian separatists," the newspaper said.
Last week, the US National Security Council was informed by all three options and soon they could be brought to Trump's consideration.
As previously reported, in the draft US defense budget for 2018 there is a reference to lethal weapons for Ukraine. In addition, Ukraine can get $ 500 million to fight pro-Russian separatists and $ 65 million to develop a medium-range missile. In June, the draft defense budget was approved by the Senate's profile committee.
