President of the United States Donald Trump signed a new decree aimed at combating human trafficking, the White House press service reported. The new project also concerns Russia.

The letter was sent to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. The document states that unilateral economic sanctions are imposed on Russia, China, Syria, Venezuela and other countries.

The US will not provide humanitarian assistance to the above-mentioned countries or allocate funding for cultural or educational exchanges. Such measures are permitted if national governments take actions that are not in accordance with US law with respect to human trafficking. In some cases, funding can be allocated.

Earlier reported Trump instructed Tillerson to supervise sanctions against Russia.
