U.S. leader Donald Trump has canceled his visit to Davos within the World Economic Forum in late January. The reason is his ongoing opposition with the Democratic Party within the discussions about the wall construction on the U.S.-Mexico border.
Trump posted the following on his Twitter.
Because of the Democrats intransigence on Border Security and the great importance of Safety for our Nation, I am respectfully cancelling my very important trip to Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum. My warmest regards and apologies to the @WEF!— Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump January 10, 2019
Earlier, the U.S. President said he would cancel the visit to Switzerland in case the shutdown in the States continues.
Previously, U.S. President Donald Trump made a ragequit amidst the meeting with Democrats representing their party in the Congress. The reason was the disagreement between Trump and the Democrats, as Spokeswoman of House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi refused to approve construction of The Wall on the border with Mexico.
