U.S. President Donald Trump canceled the planned visit to Warsaw at the end of this week due to the approaching Hurricane Dorian. Vice President Mike Pence will come to Poland instead of Trump as AP reported.
“I want to see for myself that all resources of the federal government will be aimed at the liquidation of the consequences of the hurricane. That is why I decided to send Vice President Mike Pence to Poland instead of myself,” Trump stated during the speech at the White House.
But the American leader assured that his visit to Poland will take place soon.
Earlier John Bolton, the U.S. National Security Advisor stated that U.S. President Donald Trump planned to meet his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky in Warsaw on September 1. Both of them were invited to Poland due to the 80th anniversary of the beginning of WWII.
Deputy Foreign Minister for European Integration Olena Zerkal stated that the presidents would sign the number of the documents during the meeting.
