President of the United States Donald Trump accused media, which criticized him for being soft with Russian President Vladimir Putin, of hypocrisy. He wrote about this on his Twitter page.
"I got severely criticized by the Fake News Media for being too nice to President Putin. In the Old Days they would call it Diplomacy. If I was loud & vicious, I would have been criticized for being too tough. Remember when they said I was too tough with Chairman Kim? Hypocrites!" Trump wrote.
We recall that US and Russian presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin met in Helsinki on July 16 and spoke tete-a-tet for more than an hour. Later, Donald Trump said that he was waiting for a new meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Donald Trump said that he could become the worst of enemies for Vladimir Putin in the event of a disagreement with him.
Earlier we reported that American President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the resolution of the crisis in Syria and also talked about the refugees. Mike Pompeo, the US Secretary claimed this, according to Reuters.
‘There was a discussion between President Trump and President Putin about the resolution in Syria and how we might get the refugees back,” he said. “It’s important to the world that at the right time through a voluntary mechanism these refugees are able to return to their home country,’ he said.
Mike Pompeo also said that he welcomes the upcoming negotiations between Trump and Putin in Washington.
‘I’m happy that the two leaders of two very important countries are continuing to meet,’ Pompeo claimed to reporters by visiting the United Nations to discuss North Korea.
