The final debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump is set for October 22 in Nashville, Tennessee at 9 p.m. ET (October 23, 4 a.m. Kyiv time).
The candidates participated in dueling town halls instead of debating on Thursday. Mr. Trump was pressed on his handling of the pandemic amid rising coronavirus cases during a contentious town hall in Miami, while Mr. Biden, in Philadelphia, was asked what he would do differently.
The first presidential debate took place on September 29 in Cleveland. Trump and Biden discussed the Supreme Court, coronavirus and economy. Last week’s vice-presidential debate was the only face-off between Vice President Mike Pence and Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Kamala Harris of California.
The Commission on Presidential Debates in June said the third presidential debate would be divided into six segments. The topics, picked by Ms. Welker and subject to change, are: fighting Covid-19, American families, race in America, climate change, national security and leadership.
