Trump and Putin discuss crisis in Syria and refugee return

Mike Pompeo also said that he welcomes the negotiations between Trump and Putin planned in Washington

American President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the resolution of the crisis in Syria and also talked about the refugees. Mike Pompeo, the US Secretary claimed this, according to Reuters. 

‘There was a discussion between President Trump and President Putin about the resolution in Syria and how we might get the refugees back,” he said. “It’s important to the world that at the right time through a voluntary mechanism these refugees are able to return to their home country,’ he said.

Mike Pompeo also said that he welcomes the upcoming negotiations between Trump and Putin in Washington. 

‘I’m happy that the two leaders of two very important countries are continuing to meet,’ Pompeo claimed to reporters by visiting the United Nations to discuss North Korea. 

Reportedly, American President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin met in Helsinki and were talking one-on-one for more than one hour on July 16. Later, Donald Trump claimed that he waits for the further meeting with Vladimir Putin.  

Later Trump claimed that he can become the worst enemy for Putin in case of discord.
