U.S. President Donald Trump advised the UK to exit from the EU without the treaty if Brussel does not concede to London’s demands. Trump said in the interview with The Sunday Times, as the European Truth reports.
“If you don't get the deal you want if you don't get a fair deal, then you walk away,” Trump said.
Besides, the U.S. President outlined that the UK should refuse to pay £ 39bn for leaving the EU if their demands are not fulfilled.
“If I were them, I would not pay $ 50bn. This is a great sum. I would not pay $ 50bn. It is me. I would not pay, as it is an enormous sum of money,” the President added.
Earlier, Keir Starmer, member of the Labor Party and shadow Brexit secretary, wanted another referendum on Britain’s exit from the EU.
In early March, Prime Minister Theresa May stated that she and the Labor’s leader Jeremy Corbin should put aside their misunderstandings to conclude Brexit deal.
On April 9, British Parliament voted for May’s plan to delay Brexit till June 30.
