The Trilateral Contact Group agreed on establishing cease-fire in the Donbas conflict zone starting August 25, as Russian representative in the TCC negotiations Boris Gryslov told, TASS reports.

“The main result is that the contact group managed to agree on the cease-fire due to the beginning of the academic year starting August 25. We are hoping that this “school” truce will be observed responsibly and indefinitely.

As it was reported earlier, the Normandy four leaders held a phone conversation on August 22. They expressed support for the ceasefire regime in connection with the start of new academic year, proposed by the TCC.

The leaders expressed their expectation that such a ceasefire would turn into a sustainable improvement of the security situation, for the benefit of the schoolchildren and for the entire civilian population in Donbas.
