The U.S.-Russia relations continue to deteriorate, but the White House has been trying to bring things back to normal. Rex Tillerson, the U.S. Secretary of State said that at the session of U.S. Senate Foreign Affairs Committee on June 13.

The U.S. Senators asked Tillerson about the country’s priorities in relations with Russia, China, North Korea and Syria.

With regard to Moscow, Tillerson told senators that the relations are ‘at all-time low’. He avoided, however, answering the question whether the U.S. will support more sanctions.

‘We need some extra flexibility to fix the relations with Russia. We’ve got several channels of communication, and I don’t feel like closing them,’ the U.S. Secretary of State said.
