The meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin disappeared from the schedule of US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. This was reported by the head of Voice of America Bureau in the White House Steve Herman on his Twitter.
"The meeting with Russian President Putin disappeared from the Moscow schedule of Secretary of State Tillerson," Herman wrote.
We recall that Tillerson intended to visit Moscow on April 11-12, after a meeting of G7 Foreign Ministers. Before Tillerson, the British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson was supposed to arrive in Moscow, but refused to visit because of the situation in Syria.
The media reported that Tillerson would go to Moscow to present evidence that Russia knew about the use of chemical weapons by government forces against civilians in Syria and tried to hide it.
