After the scandalous book about the life inside of Trump administration, Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, came out Jan. 5, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson commented on Trump’s fitness to run the office in his interview for CNN.
"I've never questioned his mental fitness," Tillerson said.
Tillerson also pushed back against characterizations in the Wolff book that Trump lacks the attention span and focus to get through meetings with foreign leaders, sometimes leaving them early.
"I have never seen the president leave a meeting with a foreign leader," he said.
Trump tweeted that he had never granted Wolff access to the White House and had turned down his requests many times. Describing the book as “phony”, Trump said Fire and Fury was: “full of lies, misrepresentations and sources that don’t exist”.
