Three foreign inspection groups will check the observance of the liabilities on armament control by Ukraine as the press service of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine reported.
According to Head of Verification Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andry Hudz, the inspectors from Italy, Romania and Slovakia will check the fulfillment of the commitments by Ukraine within the strengthening of the regional security. The verification groups started the work on the territory of Ukraine.
It is noted that the check will take place in Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions and also in Kyiv.
‘The inspection group of Italy that consists of eight people arrives in Kyiv to hold the inspections on the announced place on the Agreement on conventional armed forces in Europe. At the same time the multinational group from Romania that consists of four people including the representative of Poland arrived in Lviv to inspect the mentioned regions of the territories of Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions on Venice Document of 2011 on measures of the confidence and security strengthening’, he claimed.
Hudz added that 107 inspections were held on the territory of Ukraine and out of it in 2017.
