The priests have already begun prayer under the leadership of priest Nicholas in the building of the Verkhovna Rada, where rallies against the arrival of Patriarch Bartholomew are being held.
This was told by the correspondent Iryna Germanovych, who is now near the Verkhovna Rada building.
"A lot of people take part in the service. Now there is practically no room at the Constitution Square near the Verkhovna Rada. All people are standing with placards and are opposed to Bartholomew," she said.
The video shows that many posters tell about the consequences of what happened when the UOC (Ukrainian Orthodox Church) received the Tomos.
“Here is one of the posters with the inscription“ 500 seized churches on your conscience ”.... People say that they are very sick from the fact that the churches are being seized and taken away by force. This leads to a split in society,” said Iryna Germanovych.
“We see that many priests have gathered, they are already starting to pray ... This action should last until 15:00, but perhaps people will stay. Also leaflets created by believers are handed out at the rally - there they turn to Bartholomew and describe all the pain they feel after the split of the church," the message reads.
It should be noted that in the first days of the Dormition Lent throughout Ukraine, believers held mass actions against the arrival of Bishop of the Patriarchate of Constantinople Bartholomew to Ukraine.
In particular, the parishioners of the UOC declared physical and moral violence by the OCU (Orthodox Church of Ukraine), controlled by the Patriarchate of Constantinople. The transfer of churches under the control of the OCU, according to the parishioners of the UOC, is not peaceful and voluntary - it happens by force and looks more like raiding.
