Thousands of people are protesting against the meeting of Trump and Putin in Helsinki, the capital of Finland, as the local news agency Yle news reports.

As at 13:00 a group of protesters against the Russian President gathered near the palace of Finland’s President, where the talks are to be held. Ukrainians are among them.

The protesters against Trump’s policy showed up there as well.

The representatives of Amnesty International are among the protesters. They call Putin and Trump for returning the past grandeur of human rights.

As Yle news reported, the plane of the Russian President arrives in Helsinki 35 minutes later.

According to the initial agenda, Putin’s plane had to land at 12:30 (same time as Kyiv, - ed.), but I arrived at around 13:05. Earlier, Putin was to come to the President’s palace at 13:00 and to meet with Trump at 13:15.

Trump arrived in Helsinki on Sunday evening. On Monday morning the U.S. President had breakfast with Sauli Niinistö.
