Those living in Donbas are Ukrainians, too. Stop dividing people, - Zelensky

The president came to Donetsk region with a working visit. He insisted that the occupied territories would definitely get back to Ukraine

A lot of families were separated because of the war in Donbas and the occupation of Ukrainian territories. These territories will get back to Ukraine. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that during the briefing in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region on July 5; he came there with a working visit.

The top official marked that Ukrainians are still in the occupied territories; they just did not wish to leave "their homeland".

"I urge you not to divide people into "us" and 'them", concerning the people that live in the temporarily occupied areas. They are Ukrainians, too, they have no flaws", Zelensky said.

He also added that the brother of the new Head of Donetsk regional state administration Pavlo Kyrylenko works in the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic". Zelensky said that the brothers do not talk to each other anymore, because of different political views. Parents of Kyrylenko stayed in the occupied territories as well. "Pavlo himself left that territory, he is in Ukraine and he works in Ukraine from the first days of the occupation of our territories", Zelensky said.
