Participants of the "March of Vyshyvankas", dedicated to the Waffen-SS Division "Galicia", walk around Kyiv only because the authorities allow them to do so. Oleh Voloshyn, MP from the Opposition platform – For life party, said this on the Ukrainian Format talk show on Pershiy Nezalezhniy TV channel.
MP Voloshyn commenting on the "March of Vyshyvankas" on the day of the creation of the "Galicia" division, which is taking place in Kyiv, made an excursion into history and recalled that the division's fighters had sworn allegiance to Hitler. Therefore, honoring them is like honoring Hitler.
"What worries us the most? Not that there is a group of idiots who honor SS veterans, but that, in principle, in Ukraine the extreme right feel their full permissiveness: you can beat journalists, you can kill journalists, you can beat people of other nationalities , it is possible to paint synagogues with swastikas, it is possible to attack dissidents, it is possible to beat supporters of Party of Shariy, supporters of Opposition platform – For life, other political forces. And against this background, the fact that they still go on such marches helps us, the people who oppose them, to inform the curators of our government in the West that, guys, pretended that you did not care. Buzina was killed, but he is pro-Russian, 112 Ukraine TV channel was fired on - but it is pro-Russian ... But they (Participants of the March) will start burning synagogues tomorrow, they will start beating your favorite representatives of LGBT movements tomorrow," Voloshyn said.
The MP predicts that such events will bring trouble to the current Ukrainian government.
"It will bring trouble to the authorities, because the Jew Zelensky, the grandson of a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, to put it mildly, should be ashamed of the fact that those who killed, burned, shot his ancestors both on ethnic grounds and simply on the basis of their Soviet citizenship, and so on, are honored today," Voloshyn said.
The MP summed up that such events take place because permission was given in government offices.
"These people walk around Kyiv only because the authorities allow it," he stressed.
