Amendments to Ukraine’s Constitution on the Euro-Atlantic course of the country will be adopted by the Verkhovna Rada. Oleksandr Bryhinets, Ukrainian MP from the President’s block said that on air of The Pulse, political talk-show on the 112 Ukraine TV channel.
“There’s no special need for the President to persuade MPs to support his initiative on amendments to the Constitution, as there are voices in the parliament to support these changes. And surely these amendments shall be adopted. In this particular case, I don’t think that these ideas will be the major ones as these features are actually implemented, however, we still have to wait with the practical implementation,” Bryhinets said.
Earlier, on September 3, President Poroshenko proposed the parliament to adopt the amendments to the Constitution. The draft law stipulates for the country’s parliament, President and government shall realize Euro-Atlantic course of Ukraine.
NATO supported Ukraine’s freedom to chose its Euro-Atlantic course without external interference.
