"The Normandy Format is the only political format we have available for discussing controversial topics,” Merkel said.
The German Chancellor noted that at the moment there is a certain stagnation in the Normandy format.
"Unfortunately, Ukrainian soldiers are dying along the contact line, and I spoke in favor of resuming meetings and giving more life to this format,” the Chancellor added, specifying that the last time the Quartet met in December 2019 in Paris.
