The head of the US diplomatic mission in Ukraine, William Taylor, testified in Congress on President Donald Trump's pressure on President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. It was reported by The Washington Post.
Taylor confirmed that the US president made Ukraine dependent on military aid in order to get the investigation on Joe and Hunter Biden's, as well as Ukrainian officials who were interfering the 2016 U.S, presidential election.
He also said Ukrainian officials were stunned by the White House's decision to publish a transcript of Trump's telephone conversation with Zelensky on July 25 without warning Zelensky.
As we reported earlier, US Ambassador in the EU Gordon Sondland testified before the House of Representatives of the U.S. Congress; he explained how President Trump's relations with the new Ukrainian government shaped and evolved.
"During nearly nine hours of testimony, Sondland said he reluctantly indulged what he described as the president’s efforts to run Ukraine policy through his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani. He indicated that he opposed Trump’s orders to reach out to Giuliani, who was pushing the Ukrainian government to investigate Trump’s political rivals", Politico wrote.
