Negotiations between advisers to the leaders of the Normandy Four countries (Ukraine, Russia, Germany, France) were postponed due to a fire at the elderly home in Kharkiv, which killed 15 people. This was reported by Interfax, citing a source close to the negotiation process.
"The meeting was postponed because President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the management of the office are in Kharkiv, where 15 people died in a fire yesterday," the statement said.
He added that international partners had responded to the request of the Ukrainian side with understanding.
According to the speaker of the head of the Office of the President Daria Zarivna, the video conference was shifted to January 27.
"The conference was preliminary postponed to January 27," she told Ukranews.
As we reported earlier, on January 21, in Kharkiv, a two-story building was caught on fire.
The investigators of the State Investigation Bureau opened the criminal case due to the neglect of duty by the Emergency Service employees that led to the tragedy.
