The far-right Taliban movement has promised 98 world countries, including Ukraine, to provide safe movement and departure from Afghanistan of their citizens and representatives from local citizens as the U.S. State Department reported.
“We are all committed to ensuring that our citizens, nationals and residents, employees, Afghans who have worked with us and those who are at risk can continue to travel freely to destinations outside Afghanistan. We have received assurances from the Taliban that all foreign nationals and any Afghan citizen with travel authorization from our countries will be allowed to proceed in a safe and orderly manner to points of departure and travel outside the country,” the message says.
The countries that received the guarantees of the safe movement from the Taliban, intend to continue to issue travel documents to particular Afghan citizens and expect that the Taliban will fulfill its commitments and will allow them to leave Afghanistan.
The countries that have published this document include the U.S., Canada, the states of Latin America, Asia, Africa, Scandinavia, the EU, Ukraine and others.
