Taliban announces general amnesty for official, urges them to return to work

The officials are afraid of repressions as many of them worked for liberal organizations

The Taliban has announced a total amnesty for all employees of the government and urged them to return to work as AFP reported.

“A general amnesty has been declared for all ... so you should start your routine life with full confidence," the Taliban says.

The officials hastily left the country together with the president and other senior representatives of the government. People who worked in the government or organizations supported by the West are afraid of repressions.

Thus, the Taliban is known for its brutal punishment and it was accused in the commitment of military crimes; however, its representatives deny it.

On August 15, Taliban militants stated to take control over the whole territory of Afghanistan. Afghan President Ashraf Ghani left the country a few hours after the radical Taliban entered Kabul.

As we reported, militants of the radical Taliban entered the presidential palace and took it under their control.

When the Taliban took all state borders of Afghanistan under control, only Kabul Airport was left as the way to leave the city. People tried to escape; at least seven people died in chaos.
