Syumar reports on dozens of SBU submissions to accredited journalists in Parliament

4.5 thousand of journalists are accredited in the Ukrainian Parliament. The Security Service of Ukraine drew the attention to some of them. Viktoria Syumar, Head of the Ukrainian Parliament Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information Policy Issues claimed this in the lobby of the Parliament. 112 Ukraine was broadcasting the event.

The press office has 4.5 thousand accreditations and dozens of submissions from the SBU, according to which half of the people are recording certain video materials and send them to Russian mass media. The information is private, but since I have access to it, I studied it. Something is mounted there, things, which sometimes provoke the MPs into certain reactions: when you want to respond in a wrong way when you are asked provocative questions. The attention is drawn to these people,’ Syumar claimed.

Nowadays, the Ukrainian legislation provides the accreditation of anyone, who will prove his participation in the media, even those who are not registered.

Reportedly, the Regulatory Committee of the Ukrainian Parliament recommended closing the parliamentarian lobby for journalists, press photographers, and camera operators, provide them a press office on the third floor.
