The U.S. reconnaissance released a voice intercept of the Syrian military which confirmed their responsibility for the chemical attack in Idlib, Syria. CNN reported that with a reference to an anonymous officer in the U.S. military command.

According to the source, the administration of Bashaar al-Assad and experts in chemical weaponry discussed the opportunity to conduct a chemical attack well in advance. The source said that the U.S. was not aware of such preparations, and these reconnaissance findings were analyzed only recently.
