According to the Swiss Cooperation Program with Ukraine for 2020-2023, 1.4 million Swiss francs have been allocated for the needs of the public utility "Water of Donbas". President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced it during a briefing that was broadcasted by 112 Ukraine TV channel.
"We welcome the new Swiss program of cooperation with Ukraine for the next three years. 1.4 million Swiss francs (1,5 million dollars) have been allocated from its fund for the needs of ‘Water of Donbas’ in 2020," Zelensky said.
According to the Ukrainian president, the public utility "Water of Donbas" provides nearly four million people with drinking water.
As we reported earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and President of Switzerland Simonetta Sommaruga have begun a joint working trip to Donbas.
The presidents will meet with representatives of the OSCE SMM missions, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the United Nations in Ukraine, and the leadership of Donetsk Regional State Administration.
