Sweden is ready to provide its troops for the UN peacekeeping mission in Donbas, if Russia and the West agree to this. Swedish Defense Minister Peter Hultqvist said this at the Munich Security Conference, Reuters reports.

"If we see the relevant conditions, and if we understand that this mission can help ... then we are open to it," he said.

We recall that during the speech at the Munich Conference, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said that Russia has a chance to demonstrate readiness for a compromise and to agree to peacekeepers throughout the occupied Donbas.

Earlier, US Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker stated that the draft resolution of Russia, which provides for the deployment of peacekeepers in Donbas only along the line of the clash, is unacceptable for the United States and the United Nations, since it will not guarantee security, but will deepen the conflict.
