"Svoboda" party members summoned to Prosecutor's office for questioning

Eight members of “Svoboda” party, former Social-National Party of Ukraine, who participated in bloody riot near Verkhovna Rada August 31, are summoned to the Public Prosecutor's office. The leader of the party Oleh Tyahnybok, who is among the list of those summoned, denied this  fact, claiming that "this is a political massacre" against his party. It must be said that the summons are published on the official web site of General Prosecutor of Ukraine.

General Prosecutor's press office also stated that 18 people are summoned foquestioning regarding the clashes near Ukrainian parliament building, August 31. As was reported before, as a result of grenade explosion, 131 law enforcers were wounded, and tree soldiers of the National Guard are dead. Ministry of Internal Affairs also released the photos, which proves the presence of “Svoboda” leader Oleh Tyahnybok and other members of the party during the mass clashes.

August 31, 265 MPs adopted the first reading amendments to the Constitution regarding decentralization. More than thousand people gathered for a protest rally against voting for these amendments. A protest rally, which was expected to be peaceful, resulted into a mass riot under the flags of political parties, a bunch of "Svoboda" party flags were observed there.
