The detained Ukrainian journalist Roman Sushchenko was ratted out by the friend of his family, who stayed in touch with Roman. Mark Feygin, the lawyer of the detained Ukrainian journalist, announced that on air of one of the Ukrainian TV channels.
“He (Sushchenko, - ed.) visited his brother in Moscow several times. He stayed in touch with the friend of his family. The family’s friend has just ratted him out. That’s it,” Feygin said.
He says that all charges against Roman base on the evidences of one and that person.
Ukrainian journalist Roman Sushchenko, who works for Ukrinform news agency, was found in pre-trial detention facility of Lefortovo prison (Moscow). Open Russia, the group of Russian human rights activists, reported this at their official website on Sunday night.
According to Sushchenko, the law enforcers put psychological pressure on him; they didn’t let him call home and tell the wife he was arrested. The FSB, Russian federal security service, provided Sushchenko with a lawyer.
Sushchenko asked the human rights watchers to contact with Ukrainian consul in Moscow. The diplomat already confirmed officially that the reporter was arrested in Russia.
Earlier Mark Feygin stated that there are no other perspectives for Ukrainian journalist Roman Sushchenko other than the exchange on some Russian citizens detained or convicted in Kyiv.
