Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Vladislav Surkov said that negotiations with the special representative of the US State Department for Ukraine Kurt Volker were constructive. This is reported by RBC.
"The draft resolution on Donbas proposed by Russia was discussed, and mutual understanding was found on a number of positions, most of the differences revealed were recognized as surmountable," Surkov said.
According to him, during the negotiations there was talk about the need to implement the Minsk agreements.
"We do not doubt еhe fact that in the end we'll receive the result," the Russian presidential aide added.
Earlier we reported that it was expected that Volker and Surkov could discuss the issue of the UN peacekeeping mission in Donbas. The first meeting of Surkov and Volker took place on August 21 in Minsk.
