Hundreds of students gathered for a rally in the centre of Paris. Those unsatisfied with the results of the first round of presidential election threw stones and bottles at the police, as the law enforcers dispersed tear gas.

Students lined up in front of universities and high schools, shouting ‘No Macron, no Le Pen!’.

As is known, on April 23, the first round of presidential election took place in France. Eleven cadidates ran for the office, and only two of them collected enough votes to make it to the second round. Centrist Emmanuel Macron and far-right Marine Le Pen will go toe-to-toe once again on May 7.
