Stoltenberg to visit Kyiv on July 9, 10

NATO Secretary General will chair the North Atlantic Council’s session in the Ukrainian capital

Kyiv will host the session of the North Atlantic Council’s session next week. Jens Stoltenberg, the NATO Secretary General will be leading the session, the Alliance’s press service reports.

‘At the invitation of the Ukrainian authorities, the North Atlantic Council (NAC) chaired by NATO Secretary General, Mr. Jens Stoltenberg, will visit Ukraine on 9-10 July 2017. A meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission with the President of Ukraine, Mr. Petro Poroshenko will take place on 10 July. During the visit, the Secretary General will deliver an address at the Parliament of Ukraine. The North Atlantic Council and the Secretary General will also meet the Speaker of the Parliament and Heads of the Parliamentary Factions,’ the message says.

Besides, the NATO leader will meet with Ukrainian Premier Volodymyr Groysman and Vice Prime Minister for EU integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze; Stoltenberg and Klympush-Tsyntsadze will solemnly open the new NATO office in Kyiv.
