The state of the Ukrainian political prisoners in the remand center of annexed Simferopol is satisfactory. Russia's ombudswoman Tatiana Moskalkov claimed this in the response to Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmyla Denysova as her press service reported.

On May 19 in the respond to the official appeal of Denysova, Russian ombudswoman checked the conditions of the detention and provision of the necessary medical service to Ukrainian political prisoners Volodymyr Balukh, Uzeir Abdullaev, Enver Mamutov, Remzi Memetov, Zevr Abseitov, Rustem Abiltarov, Enver Seitosmanov, Bekir Degermendzhi, Asan Chapukh, Kiazim Ametov, Ruslan Trubach and Ismail Ramazanov.

According to the results of the meeting, Moskalkova reported that the health state of the detained was accessed by the medics as satisfactory.

According to her, it was established during the talks with the detained and on the basis of the document provided by the leadership of the remand center, that all mentioned persons were examined and sent to the hospital for the provision of the qualified service when it was necessary.

"The convicted and sentenced provided with the conditions provided by the law. The technical equipment of the cells is checked daily. In the case of the detection of some malfunction, the workers of the remand center assume measures to eliminate it. The detainees of the remand center are provided with three meals a day; also, they are allowed to get the unlimited number of the packages and handovers. They walk at least an hour for a day," she responded.

Tatiana Moskalkova noted that there are no obstacles for the lawyers for visits. The access of the advocates to the remand center takes place in the established order on the common basis.

"The citizens visited by me did not express any claims to the workers of the remand center's administration during the talks. They also did not confirm the use of the physical or psychological influence on them. At the same time, they expressed the number of the requests that were satisfied after my appeal to the leadership of the remand center," the message said.

Zevr Abseitov was allowed to use the medicines passed by his family. The request of Volodymyr Balukh on the provision of the privacy of the WC was urgently satisfied by the workers of the remand center.

Additionally, Russian ombudswoman reported about Volodymyr Balukh that he is detained in the double cell with a square 10, 5 square meters, equipped in the accordance with the established standards. There are one TV and tank for the drinking water in the cell. There is one person detained with Balukh.

"No bodily injuries, traumas or signs of the use of the physical or psychological influence on him during the transfer of Balukh to the remand center or the period of his detention, including the time when he was transferred to the temporary detention facility were not determined. Balukh did not send the requests, appeals and claims through the administration of the remand center. There are no claims for the detention's conditions or claims on the humiliating or violent treatment were not expressed during my visit to the detainees," Moskalkova noted.

Also, according to the administration of the remand center, advocates Taras Omelchenko and Olha Dinze visited Balukh five times in 2018.

Moreover, Russian ombudswoman reported in the phone talk about the health state of Balukh that 'he is on the nutrition on the special scheme, not the complete starvation'.

The agreement on the visit of the Russian ombudswoman to Ukraine was reached during the phone talk between President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

Poroshenko has already ordered Ukrainian ombudswoman Lyudmyla Denysova to visit the Ukrainian political prisoners in Russia, Crimea and occupied Donbas.
