The citizens of Aleppo haven’t received humanitarian aid since July, reported State Department spokeswoman Elizabeth Trudeau.

“As far as I understand the situation there, Aleppo citizens haven’t received humanitarian aid since July,” announced Trudeau. She also noted that she would better redirect “this question” to the UN representatives.

Apart from that the State Department press-secretary noted that they “still hope” that the truce and the ceasefire, declared on December 8 to let the peaceful citizens leave the city, “will allow the delivery of aid, desperately needed humanitarian aid, as well as the safe departure of those who wish to leave the city in the Eastern part of Aleppo”.

"We are close to reaching an understanding, but I want to warn against high expectations," resumed  Elizabeth Trudeau.

As we reported earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated the Syrian army to have ceased fire in Aleppo on December 8.
