112 Ukraine TV channel turned to the National Council for TV and Radio Broadcasting for re-registration of its license. The authority refuses, saying that ‘the form of ownership is not transparent enough’. Ulyana Feshchuk, the Deputy Head of the Council said this in commentary to Espreso.tv channel.
‘The channel’s management turned to us for re-registration of their broadcasting license. We refused because we find this structure not transparent enough. They appealed against our decision. This structure resembles a snake that catches its own tail – they all are owners, you see,’ Feshchuk said, explaining that the beneficial owner of the channel remains unknown.
