This month, the State Bureau of Investigations of Ukraine intends to summon the country's ex-leader Petro Poroshenko for interview four times. The Bureau suspects the politician is involved in several criminal cases. Strana.ua news agency reported that with the reference to the State Bureau of Investigations.
The summon notification says that Poroshenko will have to show up at the office of a Bureau investigator on January 24, as the authority looks into his possible participation in a state treason. The Bureau claims that the fact of the state treason occurred during signature of Minsk agreements in February 2015.
The authority also plans to interview the former president within other cases on January 9, 16 and 23.
In December 2019, the State Bureau of Investigations of Ukraine opened a case against Poroshenko, suspecting him of state treason.
