State Bureau of Investigation opens case against Poroshenko on possible declaration of false information

State Bureau of Investigation (SBU) has opened criminal proceedings over the possible declaration of false information by ex-President Petro Poroshenko. SBU reported about it, Ukrainian News transfers.

"It's true. It's a registered case," the source said. According to him, the case was initiated under Article 366-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

In this case, as the representative of SBU informed, the case will be referred to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, as this type of case is under its jurisdiction.

It is emphasized that this case was registered at the request of one of the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

As we reported earlier, Petro Poroshenko repeatedly did not come for interrogation to the State Bureau of Investigation as a witness. He had to testify about the possible organization of illegal crossing of the Ukrainian border using counterfeit documents.

Besides that, The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine (GPU) prepares suspicion to fifth president Petro Poroshenko due to power abuse as Interfax-Ukraine reported, citing the source at the GPU.
