No one contacted the State Bureau of Investigation (SBU) about checking the statements of the People's Deputy Andrew Derkach on the US Embassy’s influence on officials of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU). It was stated during a press conference held by SBU’s Director Roman Truba on Wednesday, Ukrinform reports.
Journalists asked Truba whether he had received a request to investigate the information voiced by Derkach.
"There has been no appeal to the SBU for an assessment of any of the facts you have just mentioned. Unfortunately, I cannot give a complete answer to your question," he said.
As we reported earlier, The People's Deputy of Ukraine Andrii Derkach, the initiator of the criminal case on interference in the US elections, released documents, according to which First Deputy Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) Gizo Uhlava has been providing information to the US Embassy in Kyiv for several years, which negatively influenced the course of events in Ukraine and USA.
