The state border service has already received 7 French helicopters. Among them are five H225 helicopters and two Airbus H125 helicopters. The last two arrived in Kyiv on Friday January 3, the State Border Service reports.

First Deputy Interior Minister Serhiy Yarovyi stated that the Airbus H125 is suitable for training flight crews, because they are very economical.

"N125 will carry out the tasks of monitoring the state border. In total, under the contract, we have already received five H225 helicopters for rescuers and guards. It is separately planned to launch a Service Center to repair this equipment," he said.

The head of the State Border Service Serhiy Deinenko also expressed several compliments to the Airbus H125. He stated that foreign helicopters are 4-5 times more economical than domestic ones.

“There really is a need for the State Border Service in such a small, maneuverable, economical helicopter. Using them, we achieve the main thing - constant presence in the air and responsiveness to changes in the situation at the state border. We are very pleased because it is a modern, reliable helicopter,” he said.

Later it is planned to provide 17 more such helicopters, according to the French-Ukrainian agreement on aviation security and civil protection.
