President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky assured that the state authorities were making every effort for Ukraine to receive the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as it appeared. Zelensky stated this in his video message, which was published on his Facebook page.
"It is clear that with the advent of the coronavirus vaccine there will be a long queue of countries which will be striving to get this vaccine. Therefore, we are doing everything and hope to get the support of partners so that Ukraine is not at the end of this queue, but at its forefront," the statement said.
As we reported earlier, Health Minister Maksym Stepanov expects that the coronavirus vaccine will arrive in Ukraine at the end of the first quarter of 2021.
"In my opinion, registration should take place before the new year. Then the process of production and supply of vaccines begins. I think that we will actually get the vaccine at the end of the first quarter at best," the official stated.
Today, on November 13, Ukraine reported 11,787 new cases of coronavirus infection.
